2004 Spam Forecast
I haven’t deleted any spam this year. Decided to see how much I really got.
So far my junk-folders contains 1494 emails.
It’s the 19th of January today. Anticipating no growth (who am I kidding?) and an even distribution over the year, my junk repository will contain 28.701 unwanted messages on the first day of 2005. Most of the junk is dealt with by Thunderbird’s Junk Control but it’s still Aaaarrrrrgghh…
I just felt like sharing.

What, if I may ask, are you intending to kill?
I sincerely hope you’re better at hunting whatever you will hunt than the Swedes – because every year someone shoots another human mistaking it for an elk.

I don’t intend to kill anything. I already have this weekend.
But as a very skilled hunter, I never miss my target.
The elk is too big for me though. Too easy to catch or something ;-)

I assume these people consider themselves skilled too. ;) Elks can be very sneaky, more so than we can possibly imagine.

I simply don’t believe in the sneaky elk. It’s like the sneaky truck. Or the sneaky house. 4-500 Kilos don’t sneak up on you. Unless, of course, you have disappeared into your iPod… ;-)

My junk counter for today just hit 47. That’s a pretty good average for me. So, let’s see, 47*366 = 17202 spam mails in this year.

@jonas: I get more spam because I write more spam! No. That’s not it. I’ve had the same email address for years. And I have never practised any kind of christianNOSPAM@dalager.com tricks. Stupid? Yes.
My popularity rating is good. Among spammers at least ;-)
